DIY: Elegant and quick dorm room recipes

Melanie Sabol – Copy Editor

Now that the first few weeks of school are under our belt – that doesn’t mean the pounds have to be too. Here are some low calorie, quick and easy snacks that are great for taking the edge off of hunger.

Pita Pizza Poppers

Pizza bagels can start to become expensive if you are living off food out of the box. Save money and calories by trying this new pizza popper recipe. It’s healthy and simple to make.

1 whole grain pita

¼ cup low sodium pizza sauce

1 serving fat free pepperoni

¼ cup skim mozzarella cheese

Directions: Place sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on top of pita.

Microwave for 80 seconds.

Let it cool, cut, and enjoy.

Chocolate Raspberry Greek Yogurt

Yogurt is always a great go to snack. It’s all about staying healthy and making sure those pounds don’t start adding up. Greek yogurt has lots of protein while the cocoa and the sweetener will add a sweet taste.

1 tbsp cocoa

1 packet of sweetener

1 cup of Chobani Greek Yogurt

Add the cocoa and sweetener into the Chobani and mix it all up.
