Journalism department holds Alumni Night

The university’s Society of Professional Journalists, SPJ, chapter held an alumni night fot students to get the oppertunity to network with past graduates.
The alumni sat around a table while SPJ president Hailey Roy, a sophomore, asked questions. Each alumnus had something to say and “piggybacked” off what other answers and conversations.
Before the questions, students, staff and alumnus ate pizza and cookies. After, students had conversations around the room with different alunmus.
Sarah Shelton, a senior, showed some alumni the newsroom, as some of them were in room 225, before E-sports, and some were even in an entire different building.
The alumni present had many different jobs such as news anchors, trending writers and public relations.
