Every student knows how expensive college can be. Between tuition, lab fees, and textbooks, students aren’t left with much pocket cash. Just one pizza night with your friends can set you back twenty bucks. However, even the busiest student can be frugal and still get everything that they want. Here are some of the student discounts students of New Haven can cash in on.
Food:
–Kumo, 7 Elm Street, offers students a 10% discount with a valid student ID.
-All Moe’s Southwest Grill locations offer students a 10% discount with a valid student ID.
–Roly Poly, a sandwich shop on 129 Church Street, offers students a 10% discount with a valid student ID.
–Soul de Cuba Café, 283 Crown Street, offers students a 10% discount with a valid student ID.
–Thai Too, 65 Broadway, offers students a 10% discount with a valid student ID.
–Tomatillo, 320 Elm Street, offers students a 10% discount with a valid student ID.
Entertainment:
–Criterion Cinemas, 86 Temple Street, offers a $3 discount on tickets Monday through Thursday with student ID.
–The Long Wharf Theater, 222 Sargent Drive, offers two different student discounts. Students can purchase tickets in Sections A, B, F and G for $20 at any time with valid student ID, or students can purchase $15 tickets 30 minutes prior to the start of show. Student ID must be shown at time of purchase and there is a limit of 1 ticket per ID.
–The Peabody Museum, 170 Whitney Avenue, offers $5 admission with a valid college student ID.
–Shubert Theater, 247 College Street, offers this deal: two hours prior to performance, in person only, students can purchase two half-price tickets per valid student ID.
–Yale Symphony Orchestra, Woosley Hall, offers $2 orchestra and $5 1st balcony seats with student ID.
Shopping:
–Alex & Ani, 284 York Street, offers a 10% discount to students with a valid college ID.
–Arpaia Lang, 806 Chapel Street offers a 20% discount on full priced items with a valid college ID.
–GANT Campus Store, 268 York Street, offers a 15% discount with a valid student ID.
–Hull’s Art Supply & Framing, 1144 Chapel Street, offers a 10% discount with a valid college student ID.
–J. Crew, 29 Broadway, offers a 15% discount off of all items for only college students, but teachers as well.
– Goodwill offers patrons 10% off with a valid student ID.
Miscellaneous:
-Students can get 50% of a regular subscription to the New York Times, or a 1$ a week subscription to the Wall Street Journal.
–Norton Anti-Virus offers discounts of up to 50% on their popular anti-virus softwares.
-Using your student ID, you can save 30% on documents and 20% on shipping services with FedEx Office.
With all these discounts, students can truly experience New Haven food, arts and shopping with have to break the bank.
