Fans are already awaiting the new season of ‘The Walking Dead’

Season four of the hit AMC television show ‘The Walking Dead’ has now come to a close and we won’t be seeing any new episodes until later this year during it’s fall premiere. A lot has happened in the past two or three episodes of season four, which has definitely left fans at a point of puzzlement. Fans who have read the comic books obviously might have a decent idea of what is to come, but that doesn’t mean some aspects of the show won’t differ.

Before the season finale aired Chris Hardwick, talk show host of ‘The Talking Dead’, took a poll from fans asking them what they predicted Terminus would be like. Small percentages thought it would be a sanctuary while others said it might be another Woodbury. However, over eighty percent of people predicted that it would be worse than Woodbury ended up being. “Terminus is a bit of a mystery to viewers, although it is known that they are up to no good. They put up signs all over Georgia, luring desperate survivors to them. Most of the main characters have made it to the sanctuary, but now they’re trapped in a boxcar.” Actress Danai Gurira, who plays the character Michonne says, “I can tell you that it’s gonna be dire and it’s gonna be intense. It’s all the things you tune in to see. It’ll be that and then some.”

Overall, we can get a relatively good idea of what is going to take place next, but there are still so many unanswered questions. The group we love and care about so much just reunited with one another, of course not under the best circumstances, but still found each other nonetheless. We don’t know what conditions Glenn, Maggie, and the rest of their small group have been staying in nor what exactly has happened to them since arriving. But now that the majority of the main group is back together again we know that something is going down next season.

There are several theories as to what Terminus is and one of the most popular predictions involves cannibalism, which could honestly make sense given some of the hints in the last episode. But show runner Scott Gimple says that, “the pile of human bones doesn’t mean that Gareth and his group ate the bodies they belonged to.” There are so many directions this show could take that it’s almost unpredictable what will come true. But Robert Kirkman, creator of ‘The Walking Dead,’ assures us that Terminus is “a completely alien environment with very strange people that live in a very specific and strange way that is in no way any kind of remnant of what we knew before. They’re actually a lot more dangerous and a little bit scarier when it all comes to light.”

In addition, we still aren’t sure what’s happened to Beth nor where Tyrese and Carol are. So while we feel a bit more at ease with most of the group back together, there are still those missing pieces from the puzzle of our original group of characters.

All in all, there’s no doubt that this next upcoming season will be full of drama and excitement and who knows what else. We have to wait a few months, but hopefully time will pass by fast and in the mean time you can always go back and re-watch all the previous seasons online or on Netflix. The Walking Dead will return to AMC at 9 o’clock on Sunday, October 12th.
