Our once sweet country singing gone pop star Disney kid has turned into a provocative rebel Nashville girl gone “hood” over the past six months. Stealing America’s attention with her hit song and acid trip like music video, “We Can’t Stop,” from her new album Bangerz with an insane two million copies sold.
Miss Cyrus did not stop there, with her silly putty toned leather gear matched with a foam finger and Robin Thicke’s married genitals being grinded on by her not so twerking worthy booty on national television for the MTV VMA’s. The show continued with her sudden split with soon to be hubby, Liam Hemsworth this past September, following with a retaliation/opening up music video, “Wrecking Ball.” Viewers watched in horror and for the pedophiles out there watched in glory of Cyrus “letting herself all out” sitting completely nude on a wrecking ball. Smashing into walls and sales, Cyrus explained the music video as her explaining the emotional toll her split with Hemsworth did to her, as well as her enjoyment of lack of clothing, licking hammers, and convincing herself her artistic views are just simply misunderstood.
So why is this 21-year-old Hollywood gem staying in the tabloids, radio stations, tweets, and talk shows? Hasn’t every childhood star gone through some cry for help? Yes. That is exactly what this is in my eyes. Cyrus we hear you girl, it’s hard being born into a record chart hitting star lit family with no cares or worries of financial circumstances the second your toes hit this earth. We understand having Dolly Parton as your godmother, being given a hit television series on the Disney channel with your father also enjoying the ride and experience, and making millions before you can drive is really difficult. We understand that being engaged to one of the most successful and now hottest bachelors out there is really rough on your confidence. Mi-Cy we’re here. No one is perfect, and everyone has those days.
Call me crazy but I think Cyrus needs a hard kick in the twerk machine. Understandable, you don’t want to be a Disney star forever and you want to break free of that cursed company that provided you a career and head start to becoming a young millionaire; really, shame on them. Who wants to live in their past and be forced to have to stay there! You just want to let your Harlem soul out and rock it with Mike Will Made It. Who wouldn’t?
The spotlight must be a difficult one to be in, especially at an age where finding yourself and creating a legacy for yourself begins. The pressure must be real, which the public sees with small portions of understanding and compassion. However, the image and role model Cyrus originally decided to be at a younger age is what is still anticipated from the public eye. This fade will wear off and audiences will forget about her outrageous antics, but until that moment prepare for whatever Cyrus has up her nonexistent sleeves.
