Unsurprisingly, the Kardashian clan managed to produce yet more drama this week through the medium of their male counterparts. Rapper Kanye West, father of Kim’s newborn daughter North, made a long-awaited public response to his baby mama’s ex, singer Ray J, after the release of a highly disrespectful ode to their video-recorded love affair. The two musicians have had beef since late April of this year when Ray J recorded a song entitled, “I Hit It First,” that all but directly named Kim Kardashian as the sexually objectified subject. West has remained silent about the song until recently, when he openly dissed the singer during a live performance on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” West rapped on stage, “Brandy’s little sister lame man he know it now/ When a real brother hold you down you’re ‘sposed to drown.” That’s right, Kanye dissed Ray J by calling him a girl. Brandy’s now gender-ambiguous younger sibling has not made his own jab back, but history and character tells us the former Kardashian lover is likely to issue an equally immature retort. You can almost hear a chorus of “Kanye has cooties” forming melodies of its own if you direct your ears towards L.A. for long enough…
In other Kardashian man news, Lamar Odom’s life is continuing to plummet in a downward spiral. The ex-Clippers forward was officially charged with DUI after his arrest two weeks prior on the San Fernando freeway, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. Though he is still a free agent at the moment, his personal life offers him no relief. Odom’s reality-star wife, Khloe Kardashian-Odom, received the results of STD testing she decided to undergo after learning that her husband cheated on her with at least five women. “[Khloe] was physically sick to her stomach when Lamar admitted that not only had he cheated on her, but didn’t use protection 100 percent of the time,” a source told RadarOnline.com. Miraculously, the youngest Kardashian sister reported that she was entirely healthy, but that doesn’t mean she forgives Lamar. Hollywood Life reports the starlet does not want Odom on the next season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and has kicked him out of her house. Even still, Khloe’s heart remains attached to her husband – the Kardashian posted an Instagram picture of herself sporting her wedding ring, but on her left hand. We can only wonder what soap opera-esque complications will further unfold next week in the Kardashian-Odom drama.
Rapper DMX caused mayhem in Detroit recently when he decided to run naked through a hotel he was staying at, as caught on camera. The “Where The Hood At” star was recorded walking through the hallways of the hotel in socks and boxers before suddenly dropping his shorts and making a full sprint in his birthday suit. The prank has remained a simple act of good-natured mischief – DMX (for once) has not been visited by the police since the incident.
The classy A-list actress Nicole Kidman found herself in the midst of a paparazzi-star drama when she was hit by a photographer on a bicycle last Thursday. “It was awful, but I got back up,” she told E! News in regards to the event. Kidman was allegedly walking back to her hotel after attending Calvin Klein’s fashion show when 19-year-old paparazzo Carl Wu crashed into the pedestrian movie star. Though rumors have arisen that Kidman will press charges against her camera-equipped pursuant, the actress has not made any statement about taking the situation any further than the sidewalk where it happened. The star, however, commented on the fear paparazzi stalking causes celebrities to E!, “When something like that happens, like today, it can be terrifying, and luckily I got up but there’s going to be a time when somebody doesn’t.” Though Kidman’s criticisms are well founded, paparazzi harassment of stars is unlikely to end anytime soon. Maybe its time Nicole invested in a pedestrian helmet for her own safety.
