On Oct. 15, Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority hosted its annual Buzzathon fundraiser on the Buley Library patio to support Camp Rising Sun, a summer program for children who have been diagnosed with cancer and their siblings.

The event offered haircuts by student stylists from the Shear Brilliance Institute and temporary henna tattoos for $5 each.

Attendees could also purchase raffle tickets for $1 each, entering to win themed baskets filled with self-care items, fuzzy blankets, snacks, drinks and men’s grooming products.

All proceeds went to Camp Rising Sun, located in Colebrook, Connecticut.

The camp provides a supportive environment for children affected by cancer, whether they are in treatment, in remission or in any stage
of recovery.

Buzzathon reflects Alpha Sigma Alpha’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and raising awareness for childhood cancer.
