Westville’s Delaney’s Taproom and Restaurant destroyed

delaney'sAs students head back to school, parts of Whalley Avenue will continue to be blocked off at the site of Monday night’s fire at Delaney’s Taproom and Restaurant. The century-old building that once stood in the heart of Westville has been destroyed.

The restaurant issued a statement on it’s official website which states, “Thank you, our wonderful customers, for your many years of support and for making Delaney’s the special community and gathering place it has been for so many people for so many years. And thank you for visiting our page and expressing an interest in Delaney’s and its future. Of course we are deeply saddened by the loss of our second home and a favorite gathering place for you, our customers. We are currently considering how to move forward into the future, and will keep you updated as the future of Delaney’s takes shape.”
