Women’s basketball dropped second straight

The Owls Women’s basketball team, (5-13, 2-13 NE-10) was handed their fifth home loss of the season last Saturday, to the first ranked Falcons of Bentley University (19,0), 94-52.

In the first half, the Falcons jumped out to an early 17-4 lead, a lead they would not relinquish. The Owls were unable to slow down a Falcons attack led by Courtney Finn, who finished the game with a team high 21 points.

The Owls were led by freshman Jackie Beathea, who finished the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Camille Fantini chipped in with 10 points, four rebounds, and three assists. The loss keeps the Owls in fifteenth place in the Northeast-10 Conference.
