Dr. Strangelove,
The guy I’ve been seeing proceeded to give me a highfive to say “great job!” after we finished having sex. I was startled, but to go along with it I offered him a second high-five because, quite frankly, the sex deserved two. I’m trying not to read too much into it the high-five, but I thought this was weird. Is this normal? I mean, he was still in me. He’s never done this before either. Is this something guys typically do? Should I brush it off or say something?

Dear High-five Hater,
Honestly, don’t read too much into this. I can’t say I’ve ever heard of anyone doing this, but hey, he must of felt like it was some kind of accomplishment. If anything, you know it was a good time for him. Considering he wasn’t a virgin, I don’t know where the impulse came from, but just brush it off—that could be a random “thing” of his. If he does it again, why not ask him what makes him so excited?
