Spaghetti Carbonara
Serves 4
Equipment:
Large pot
Frying pan/skillet
Mixing bowl
Ingredients:
1 lb. spaghetti
8 slices of bacon, cut into 1-inch strips
3 large eggs
¾ Cup parmesan cheese
½ Cup half-and-half
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp, then drain on paper towel-lined plate.
Whisk eggs, parmesan cheese, and half-and-half in mixing bowl. Once pasta is finished cooking, drain, leaving a few teaspoons of water and immediately add to egg mixture. Toss with bacon pieces. (The heat from the pasta will cook the eggs). Serve with extra parmesan cheese.
