Football opens up at home this Friday against Pace University kicking off Owl Family Weekend.
Family fun activities, live entertainment, food and much more has been planned for the two day event. Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m. before the 7 p.m. game against Southern’s rival. Breakfast on Saturday starts at 7:30 a.m. to prepare for a packed day of plans to welcome back parents to campus in addition to providing education enrichment.
“Back to School for Parents” is one of many mini-lectures being held on Saturday. The event will provide information to parents who have put off their own education and may be interested in pursuing a college degree.
Additionally, Professor Michael Rogers of the SCSU anthropology department will lead an “expedition” to an archaeological site he has been excavating for evidence of Indian settlements.
The weekend events are rain or shine. Tickets are $10 and grant admission to all events and meals. Registration is available at southernct.edu
