Board of Trustees chairman, Karl Krapek, announced the highly anticipated schedule for the searches of both the chancellor of the University System and the new president of SCSU yesterday.
The search for the chancellor position will commence immediately, in hopes that the board will reach a decision by the May 2011 board meeting.
A system-wide Search Advisory Committee will be established in order to facilitate the transition from Chancellor David Carter to the new leader of CSUS.
Pending the selection of a new chancellor, a University Advisory Committee will be established for the new president of Southern.
Krapek said he hopes the new president of SCSU will be selected before the end of the 2011-2012 academic year.
