On Nov. 19, the Latin Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Standards Ensemble and Blues Ensemble performed in Engleman Hall Room C112.

The concert brought a lively mix of music to campus and highlighted the talent of students in the program.

Directed by faculty members, the ensembles showcased a range of styles, from the rhythmic energy of Latin jazz to the soulful traditions of blues and the timeless appeal of jazz standards.

The performance gave the audience an opportunity to hear how students applied their classroom studies to live music.

Each group presented selections that celebrated the diversity of jazz and blues traditions while demonstrating the skill and dedication of the student musicians.

Audience members enjoyed a midweek break filled with music that enriched the cultural life of the university.

The ensembles underscored how performance opportunities helped students grow as musicians while preparing them for careers in the music industry and beyond.
