Buffalo Chicken Dip
Serves four people
Equipment:
-Stove
-Pan
-Can opener
Ingredients:
-Chicken in a can—a big can and a small can
(or buy a rotisserie chicken and pull the chicken off)
-One block of cream cheese
-1/3 cup Frank’s Hot Sauce—or whatever hot sauce you prefer
-One cup of shredded cheese—I use taco blend, but to each their own
-3 tablespoons Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing—whichever one you like better
-One bag of Tostitos
Directions:
First, open up the cans of chicken and drain the water out of them. If you are using a rotisserie chicken, cut it up into bite-sized pieces. Then heat the stove with medium heat and put the chicken in the pan.
The recipe calls for 1/3 cup of hot sauce, but really the sky’s the limit. If you like your buffalo dip spicy, add a bottle, if not add less. I usually put in half the bottle of a normal size of Frank’s Hot Sauce. Let the chicken and the hot sauce simmer in the pan for three-five minutes.
Then put the block of cream cheese in the pan and let it melt into the chicken and hot sauce. If you decide to put in more hot sauce, put it in at this point.
Once the cream cheese fully melts, add either ranch or blue cheese dressing. Mix it up, add the cheese into the pot and let it melt. Let the dip simmer between three to five minutes on low heat. After it’s done, pour it into a bowl and enjoy!!
