Kevin Federline- Playing With Fire
“Intro” – The intro is the bait. It reels you in for a great album to come, honestly. K-Fed uses sound clips from various news shows to show listeners what it’s like to be in his shoes. 3 out of 5 Owls!
“The World Is Mine”- He tells us the story to his life here. The trip begins in 1993. From climbing the “background dancer ladder” to finally reaching the top and snatching his prize, you guessed it, Britney Spears. The Owls’ scale did not do its job for this one; it’s off the charts!
“America’s Most Hated” – K-Fed brags about being hated. It’s pretty cool. Reminds me of preschool, you know? From stacking blocks and counting faster than the others and it not getting you any friends. 2 out of 5 Owls.
“Snap”- He explains why he’s such a great dad on this record. From hitting up clubs, dating everyone and everything in between to gain street cred. I’m convinced. This guy is a thug. 4 out of 5 Owls.
“Lose Control”- I lost control when I heard this one. Punch lines that hit the spot like a sharpshooter. The beats knocking like a motor that’s about to blow. 5 out of 5 Owls.
“Dance with a Pimp” (featuring Ya Boy) – K-Fed is calling himself a pimp. It’s actually pretty original. I can picture the video; pimp cup in hand, a cane, and chicks dancing crazily. 5 out of 5 Owls strictly for originality.
“Privilege” (featuring Bosko) – Gals hanging with the Federline
express is a privilege, cruising around town in Britney’s car is a privilege. We get it. 2 out of 5 Owls.
“Crazy” (featuring Britney Spears) – I was wondering when Britney was going to peek out and say hi. Best song on the album…
why? Because of Britney!! (duh, winning) 5 out of 5 just ‘cause of Brit.
“A League of My Own” – A fire back at the critics here. “Why do you hate me?” asks Federline. “What did I do to you?” It seems like he doesn’t get why so he starts “a league of his own.” 4 out of 5 owls
“Playing with Fire” – Playing with fire is what he did when he recorded this album. He thought people would take him more seriously. FAIL 0 out of 5 Owls
“Caught Up” (Skit) – An interlude is what a great album needs, an intermission to rest our ears from hearing awesomeness! 6/5 Owls.
“Caught Up” – An explanation of a past relationship
here. From cheating to getting caught, to getting arrested and setting the house on fire (just kidding). 4/5.
“Kept on Talkin’”/”Middle Finger” – This is fight music right here! Hype music! It makes you want to fight! I punched my neighbor after I heard this song! He deserved it! Don’t judge me!! 10/5!
Overall: 10 out of 5 Owls.
