The New England Association of Schools and Colleges will be evaluating the university by the fall of 2011. The comprehensive examination will assess the extent to which Southern meets each of eleven standards for accreditation. To prepare, the self-study steering committee is analyzing Southern’s effectiveness as a teaching and learning institution. The committee has been collecting data, conduct¬ing interviews and surveys and writing drafts to be reviewed.
On Friday, April 8, 2011, the committee will hold a town hall meeting in Engleman A120 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. to discuss the reaccreditation process. This is the second town hall meeting. In November, the committee introduced the process to the community. On Friday, the committee will be answering questions about the current draft of the self-study report. The report is available to be reviewed on Southern’s website.
