Owl Sports Update

Baseball:

Game Recap-Feb. 17: Lost against Lynn University 10-2 in Boca Raton, Florida.  

Jack Drewry, a sophomore, had a two-run single and two hits. Nick Guarino, a graduate student and pitcher, gave up eight hits in three innings.  

Game Recap-Feb. 18: Won against Lynn University 7-6 in Boca Raton, Florida. 

The Owls scored four runs in the seventh inning. Connor Gogginn, a sophomore, went two for five with two RBIs. 

Game Recap-Feb. 24: Won against College of Staten Island 10-0 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.   

A graduate student and pitcher, Nick Guarino, pitched a scoreless game. Guarino struck out 10 straight hitters.  

Game Recap-Feb. 25: (Game one of the series) Won against Felician University 9-5 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. (Game two of the series) Won against Felician University 6-4. 

Connor Gogginn, a sophomore, and Billy Sullivan, a sophomore, both had four hits in the doubleheader. The Owls overcame a 3-1 deficit after the third inning in the second game of the series.   

Game Recap-Feb. 26: Lost against Post University 9-7 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.   

Jack Drewry, a sophomore, went two for four, and Mike Ferrett, a junior, brought in two runs.  

Current Record: 4-2 

Women’s Lacrosse:  

Game Recap-Feb. 18: Won against Chestnut Hill University 17-1 in Philadelphia.  

10 Owls scored in the game led by Sarah Robbins, a junior, and Kirsten McIntire, scoring thrice.  

Game Recap-Feb. 25: Won against Molloy University 12-11 at Jess Dow Filed (home).  

Bayleigh Takacs, a graduate student, scored four goals. Her fourth goal was the game-winning goal in overtime.  

Current Record: 2-0 

Women’s Basketball :

Game Recap-Feb. 26: Lost against Assumption University in the NE10 Quarterfinals, 60-44, in Worchester, Massachusetts.  

Isabella Santoro, a graduate student, scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds.  

Zoe Amalbert, a graduate student, scored 16 points and had four steals.  

Men’s Basketball:

Game Recap-Feb. 26: Lost against the University of New Haven 75-59 in West Haven, Connecticut.  

Ulyen Coleman, a senior, led the team in scoring with 19 points, and Sean James, a sophomore, had 13 points. Coleman moved to 12th all-time on the Owls’ scoring list with 1,437 career points.
