Necklace chokers, overalls, crop tops: 90s trends are back

If many of us reading this are 90s babies or if you remember the 90s quite well, we all know that it was a pretty awesome decade. From the television shows to the music it goes down as one of the best. But you know what was even better? The fashion trends and even if you didn’t experience the fashion trends in the 90s, don’t worry. They’re coming back to the runway.

Let’s all reminisce on the trend of necklace chokers. I know that I had plenty including the statement black plastic choker, which are back and can be found at stores like Brandy Melville for only $5 and Urban Outfitters starting at $18.

If you’re looking for more of a girly, classy look you can also settle for pearl chokers or more statement ones. These can be found at stores like Forever 21, prices ranging from $5.80 to $16.80, which is definitely affordable.

Now we have to talk about overalls. I know that when I was a child I used to rock the overalls almost every day to school. To some people this trend can seem like a very daring one but it is for sure back in style.

Overalls can be found at almost any popular clothing store from Forever 21, TopShop, or Urban Outfitters. Some people may be scared of them because they are intimidating to style but here are a couple of ways: For a more casual look pair a basic t-shirt underneath, since it is getting a little colder you can also add a jacket over top, slip on some converse and you are all set.

If you want to dress them up a little, just replace that pair of converse with some high heels.

Next on our list of 90’s trends: crop tops or as we called them in the 90s “baby tees.” Many of our favorite celebrity icons like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera wore crop tops with every outfit they were styled in in the 90s and they are now back and very popular.

Crop tops come in millions of different styles, from basic colored tops, printed tops, and even long sleeved, sweater material, perfect for the fall and winter seasons.

These tops are best paired with anything high-waisted. Finding the perfect crop top for you shouldn’t be a problem and could be found at stores like Urban Outfitters, H&M, any store you like; they will have them.

I don’t know if it was just me, but I was obsessed with the Spice Girls growing up in the 90s. Along with their catchy music and girl legacy they left behind, I think we can all remember the huge platform shoes they used to wear.

Although this may not be everyone’s footwear choice, they are definitely back. Platform shoes come in a variety of different trends including heels, sneakers, and boot style.

One of the best stores to find this kind of variety is TopShop, which has the best selection on their online website. They have solid color platform shoes and printed ones as well.

The prices there range from $24 to $100. Rocking some crazy platform shoes will definitely help you stand out just like the Spice Girls in the 90s and in the best way possible.

There are so many decades with great fashion trends like the 60s, 70s, and 80s. However, the 90s comes with some of the most unique trends that anyone can wear.

From accessories to clothing, these 90’s trends are gaining popularity and like me, hope that these trends will stay on the market for a very long time.
